Brokers all work in the Merchant's Guild of the area. They wait for an order from their client and then purchase the item they are tasked to look for when it is up for auction.
Brokers all work together to make a profit. When someone's client is looking to buy an item, that person's broker can get other brokers to bid on that item until it reaches the price ceiling established by the client, which is when the client's broker will make a successful bid. The opposite is also true, allowing brokers to buy items other brokers' clients are selling, at the lowest price manageable.
